John_G-

Aye matey, don't be so hard on yourself! I was sober in AA for 15 years, I just stared tippling my last trip to RU.

Oddly enough, part of my reason for going there was to research the current state of available resources for alcoholic women seeking sobriety. I wanted to see a residential rehab open for the women who need it most ( the ones with no money ). i met with lots of people in the blossoming field of recovery, but I also met with other peoples, and thats where I joined in the toasts and such. I never got drunk there, I didn't want that, I just wanted to see what it would be like to not have to exert the phenomenol amount of energy one needs to politely refuse a toast in RU. It was fun. And yes I still have alot of findings in my notebook as per my project, and it will happen someday.

I got sober at a young age ( 19 ) and spent half my life growing up in 12-step rooms. there is always a danger to people who get sober when they're young, that they need remain ever vigilant against thoughts of " What did I miss ? ".

I didn't start really pouring it down until we moved back to CA and life got settled ( read: boring ). Somewhere it hit me that I had f*kked myself by signing a 1-year lease ( death to a gypsy ) and marrying a foreigner means that you need to stick around and be ready to jump when the INS calls you for those interviews.

Then I missed my old sober life. I missed the lack of trauma/drama and the ability to enjoy simple pleasures. So I got sober again.

Thats my story and I'm sticking to it

Butter

The Artist who's works will be on my site has finished his own site in RU:

http://www.gruzdev.com

************************************************************

I was born in 1966. In Chinese astrology, this is the year of the FireHorse. I thought about

FireHorseGallery.com

What do you think? My WebGirleey has been giving me the lowdown on signing up with Google. So long as I put myself under " art/russian/gallery " then the name of the site itself is irrelevant as far as being reached by the user/art-seeker.

Although when I do come up with a domain name, I may keep it mum lest I miss my daily dose of Castle's daily puntributions.

Butterqueen, what you said is huuuuuge!

The catchy name will probably lend credence to your company's image. The name, the colors, the logo, etc. are all very important to your business. But to get people to your site; the metatags (buzz words) in the search engines will draw them there.

Put in the words hot, teenage, sex in your metatags and your traffic will increase...unfortunately.

Castle-

I am unclear as to whether that was an 'aye' or 'nay' vote for FireHorse.

Money is not so important to me that I feel the need to do something desperate, compromising or dishonest. If they are meant to sell under Russian/Art/Gallery then they will.

I don't know! Let's take a vote.

All in favor of Butterbean's new business being named "Fire Horse" say "Aye".

"AYE"!

All opposed?

(hears nothing but crickets chirping down the street)

"The 'Ayes' have it"! You Go Gurl!

I was born in the Chinese year of the dog. Maybe I can change my business to some sort of Lassie-Rin Tin Tin-Skipper-Nipper-Spot name. Maybe it will "fetch" me more revenues. Fetch! Get it? Once again, I only amuse myself.
