I thought they sounded good, that was before I heard that
little teen girls were into that group and that discouraged
me to listen to them I like driving down the streets
here in the US listening to Russian music. I was just
wondering if anyone knows any good Russian techno (I know Russia is good for its Techno) that they could tell me
about. Like any good techno band that little girls dont like that I can listen to with pride Thanks! Hehe I
already have my collection of Red Army Chior songs that
motivate me very well Just need some techno now.
I don't get it. You enjoyed Ruki Vverh until someone told you that it wasn't cool to listen to a young chick band? I always thought that music was for personal enjoymrnt. My friends could listen to what they like, but they don't decide what I listen to.

By the way, the Red Army Chior made some really good music, but I doubt that they would register more than .005 on the cool meter. Hands Up would probably do better in a poll of those under 50. If you really want to get beat up over listening to chick bands, try Strelki. Techno/trance music has to belong to PPK. I like the track called "Resurrection", but they have quite a bit to choose from, and if you belong to the 5,000 watts in the trunk of my car crowd, it sounds great.

Ruki Vverh is like Nstink reincarnated. The Red Army choir has some pretty good music, like Kalinka, Katiusha and Polyshka Pole, among others...

Smile Russian Techno

I am really in to that kind of music. Get Kazaa or Imesh so you can download music. Here are my suggestions:

-Virus
-Tatu
-Otpetie Moshenniki
-Oskar
-Diskoteka Avaria
-PPK
-Danko
-Fank

those are all good groups with some catchy music. hope that helps

Thumbs down

I live in Moscow and I know that "Ruki Vverh" ("Hands Up!" to be correct) is the worst-ever pop group in the world!! I detest it! Maybe the music is not so bad but if you knew the text.. brr.. it's awfull...
As for me I don't like our russian pop. But some bands are quite good. Here they are:
Hi-Fi, TaTy, Diskoteka Avariya.. Oh, yes! That last is gr8!!
And Leningrad. It's not a techno of cause but it's really fun)))) LOL

Thanks!

Few things motivate me to learn russian better than playing russian music.

It's rythmic..syntax..is a theme song waiting to happen.

Welcome to the board Crux!

ya i was just like you when i started learning Russian

i found out that PPK is pretty famous in Russia and also DJ KOSMONOVA
i personally like Dj Kosmonova better cause the songs ive heard are more like jumpy and and stuff, but PPK is cool its more of a good flowing beat(at least the songs ive heard)

and a Russian band i REALLY REALLY(ochen ochen) like is Tatu. i personally think their songs have good beats, especially the remixes.....if u have kazaa donwload Nas ne Dogonyat(preacher remix)-tatu

well i hope ive helped somehow
