My take on things are that hundreds of years ago Christanity and Islam were both radical and by 1900 both ignored the radical teachings of the book.
After the fall of the Ottoman empire, the West ruled Islamic nations and their way to gain independence was through terrorist acts. It has a track record of success. They could drive out Western Colonialist but the Jews have no place to go so they stand and fight. I didn't keep up in Bosnia but in Kosovo I would see radical muslims attack serbs and then hide in the general muslim population causing the serbs to have to fight all muslims instead of the trouble makers. This brought the world down on Serbia to fight the radicals war. A victory for Wahhbbism. The same serino for Chechyna. Islam is growing, using one hand out streched for love and the other hand is a fist of death to those who resist. I have known few Muslims but one who was the best human being I had ever known suprised me when he told me he would kill Salmon Rushdie if he saw him. Good man, Bad religion to tell him to kill a stranger. old reb |

"%%%%% is a big lie, created by %%%%%%%% to control the masses to do his bidding, and %%%%%%% leaders are still using %%%%% today in the same way."
Fill in the blank with any religion you choose to be more accurate. See, Marxist thought isn't dead after all, right??? |

I disagree. There may be something to Judaism and Christianity - after all - I don't see anything that Jesus ever said has turned out to be untrue. So I am willing to keep an open mind about those and seek God - not what other men think I should think, but finding it out for myself. However, I have studied Islam extensively and objectively - and the whole thing is a fake. To anyone with the power of logical reason the truth is right there.

"To anyone with the power of logical reason the truth is right there."
That is a gargantuan contradiction. By their nature reason (empiricism) and religion (i.e. faith-based belief systems) are antithetical. To say that any religion is a "fake" based on "objectivity" is extraordinarily disingenous, as no beliefs can be viewed in terms of proven fact, as with the existence of God itself - it cannot be proven or disproven, only believed in or not. In addition, to say someone's deeply held beliefs are fake is to fail to realize how such a statement is transitive. Think of Aristotle. Agreeing to that statement is an indictment of your own beliefs as well. |

Let's just say - the facts don't add up. Actually, I'll take back what I said about Islam not being a true religion. I think it could have been instigated by satan. Every aspect of Mohammed's life and what he believed was the anti-thesis of the religions he stole from. He used poor ignorant people for his own ends. It's that simple. Certainly for me, getting to the bottom of the roots of Islam made me question any religion whatsoever. To see how so many people can be so blind and on top of that terrified of questioning what they do or learning any truth other than what they already know made me wonder if I wasn't the same - just in a different pattern of beliefs.
A fews years ago I would have agreed with you. Why take away someone's deeply held beliefs, whether I believed it or not? But I've changed my mind, because I don't believe that being politically correct solves anything. |
