Thumbs up

I think I should back the opinion of Melico:

I like the north of Sweden very much (places north from Kiruna) and for sure the sub-urbs of St. Petersburg.

2 other places I like very much are Vienna and Istanbul. But not for the new millenium meeting.

hi glock.girl

wow, it's a voyage of adventure for you, huh :-) Oh, there are lots and lots more Russian proverbs, sayings, little quotes and stuff. one of my favourites is "pyervy blin - komom" ("the first pancake's a blob") - as Russian version of "if at first you don't succeed, try, try try again".

ILay,

Istanbul is great but I liked Ephesus much better. The restoration of this ancient city is amazing.

Did you make it to Ephesus?

Greetings,

In the South China Sea, there is a small island called Bora Cay. The island is so small that the planes must land on the neighbor island. You take the outriggers to Bora Cay. The island is part of the Phillipines. It is about 150 miles south of Luzon.

Words can not paint the picture. Lush vegitation. White beaches. Friendly people.
No television. No phones. Good food.

The place to stay is Friday's Hotel. Let us all meet there next weekend.

Dr. Woland:

The Russian proverbs are 'cute' in their own way You know, just out of interest, my friends in both Finland and Sweden have seen the northern lights.

I have seen them twice now here at the 49th Parallel in BC, Canada. However, there are yet none as bright as the ones up north in Canada (that I have seen) and they are truly magnificient. Up there, you get all 3 coloured ion activity. Life is ALWAYS an adventure for me

Ungaro:

Wow! Friday's good!
