I was looking at the food stuffs and I thought it kinda looked like that Ukrainian stuff that I would poke and sniff at before I purchased in the food markets in Southern Russia. I found it to be very tasty but the mystery meat fillings always concerned me.

Are Crimean Tartars different than other Tartars, like the Tartar cavalry regiments in Pasternak's Dr. Zhvago?

Don't you warry about the quality of meat in Tatar food.They usually very adamant about the freshness.Theyr meats are "halal"-a Muslim equivalent of "Kosher"(exactly the same thing,BTW).

There are Kazan Tatars,Astrakhan Tatars,Crimean,Ukrainian,Kasimov,Tobol,Siberian,Lituvanian,
Finnish,Polish,Kumiks,Kara-Kolpaks,Azeri,.............
Plus,there are Tatar communities in just about every country in the world.Just like I done told you,we,Tatars,are much like Jews...

And much like Jews,we're a little different from each other.
