I am sorry I must not be down on my geography. Could you tell me how far away USS Britain (aircraft carrier) is away from Russia, and how far is Turkey?

80's soviet military domination? Are you talking about afghanistan? The peace garden state of North Dakota could of wiped out every soviet base on the planet during the 80's. I am not even going to mention how close alaska is to russia, it's just not worth it to bring that up is it?

DV, can you name any other country that bans chewing gum?
And while your at it. Doesn't it bother you as a catholic that your state gives the death penalty to illicit drug users/importers? If there is any state on the planet that resembles an allied enemy of freedom in world war II it would go to Singapore and Taiwan.

Chewing gum. Guess there are no reformed smokers in Singapore.

I don't know how the Soviet military domination came into the equation, but you must not have read their invasion plan which is sent across Europe, not that 2.5 mile stretch.
Never looked at your aircraft inventory from the 40s to the 80s have you? Not one American fighter could reach the altitude of the Tu-95 or M-4. That's bombing without resistance, America, America your so fine you blow my mind...or would that be the Soviets blow your mind...
Remind me though...the altitude of the F.6 Lightning (British) 60,000 ft...come here Bison it's not nice to knock on Britains door at a mere 56,000ft.

Look at the 'Go Away' thread on History section, that's what was happening at least once a week in Britain...and yes, I know that's a Bear on the pic.

And where would be America be without those German designs and Engines...not very far. Rolls Royce called, and so did Armstrong-Siddeley...they want their engines back...and all the planes that had their engines..Russia and America get out the list...

cold war = phony war

Exactly what years did the russians have everything together? Couldn't be 50's, early 60's? 70's?

How is it that world war II vets improved american freedom? Those same vets by japanese and german automobiles and most factories after world war II have moved to some other country.

If anything they made the world safer for american corporations to dominate outside of the US.
