what has changed?

Right after 9/11 I was in Tijuana, Mexico taking the bus. At the bus depot there wee two police with rifles. It kind of scared the hell outa me because in Canada we don't have police with rifles standing in bus depots. But as we were getting on the bus, I saw all the Mexicans looking worried because before they could get on the bus, security guys examined their luggage. They said it is because of 9/11. I thought it was amazing that 9/11 could cause a bunch of poor mexicans to lose their freedom. Now, the government has a good excuse to treat their own people like criminals and get away with it.

Before 9/11 I would go across the border into USA and the border guards would be friendly. Now, I must show them a passport, and they look at me like I'm a criminal. I remember one day when I was younger, coming back from the USA, and we had a whole bunch of things that we didn't claim. We were in the states for a few weeks but brought in much more than we were allowed, and the Canadians never checked nothing. Now, I don't lie to border guards over small things anymore - I am 100% honest. Because now, I'm scared to cross the border, and the border guards have been told to scare people. Yup, a person like me who hasn't broken a law in my life, other than really small things like not claiming some purchases, now I am scared to cross the border. That's exactly what the government wants - to keep the sheeple scared.

They finger printed me. That's right - the American *******s finger printed me, which is a violation of my privacy. i didn't think quickly enough. I acted just like a dumb sheep, but about 3 years ago, I was crossing into uSA, and the *******s finger printed me for no reason. That's what changed. We are now treated like criminals by our government and there's nothign we can do about it.

No doubt about it - 9/11 was not done by terrorists. Our freedoms have been gradually eroding, and the whole purpose of 9/11 was so that we would accept losing our freedoms. It worked.

Andrew Blow, being a good Christian, knows that in any group of Christians, there are liars. Wherever you go, whether Christian or not there are always a percentage of liars in the group. I had a real good experience while attending church to examine just how a liar's mind works. I lost about $40,000.00 to Christians, and I won't trust them anymore. Of course, there were very honest ones too. But the point is, the american government hired an old buddy of George bush sr to tell a giant lie to the American people to persuade them to accept the war in Iraq. $10 million dollars was paid to the guy to make up a false 'babies kiied in incubator' story, to sell the war to the American people. Award winning Canadian documentary , by CBC's 'Fifth Estate' esposed the lie. You better believe these guys in the American government will lie. They say if you're going to lie, make it big, so people will believe it. And 9/11 was big. It was a lie.Andrew Blow should know there are liars - Jeusus even said to some liars - you are of your father the devil.

Security treats Arabs poorly. I have seen it first hand while travelling.

That's funny A-N. To hear somebody say they have NEVER broken a law and then go on to talk about breaking the law is humorous. I guess the laws we agree with we won't break..but the laws we don't agree with are the "small ones" we can break at our discretion.

Been to Mexico lately? There are far scarier things than American border guards to contend with.

I know this thread is a little old, but this is why we don't have pre-meditated, irrational thinkers making decisions in our government. I cannot even imagine what the result of this world would be if rooten, tooten, shooten gun slingers had their way. I am glad I live here in America and not in a country where if you pissed wrong you are gonna get blown up or thrown in jail. The US does have enough man-power to take out the entire planet, but how much does the other countries have? I would not under estimate North Korea? Or is it South Korea? I am now starting to get into politics more and on this war so forgive me if I am a little bit off here on my information.

I do have a question though, why did we cease almost to nothing on looking for Bin Lauden. I am just curious to why we did a 360 degree turn around after 911....

I hate to tell you this, but I like the fact that people are checked as they enter and exit the USA. It makes me feel a little safer knowing that after 911 they are being more secure on this issue. It is sad, I know but I would want to know that our government is keeping tract now of who is coming in. I know it is sad that it takes a bunch of innocent people to die to make changes.

As for the Christian issue, I understand that you were taken for $40,000, but those were not Christians, so you couldn't have lost that money to them because Christians do not steal from people. There are liars and evil people walking amongst us, but they are NOT Christians. I would appreciate if you would not classify Christians as liars. Please!
