Hi

This is kind of spooky! I have not visited this site for years and when I finally do I find that my nick has been discussed less than a month ago.

I am not German nor Slav though there is a german connection to the word wendist.

As a young man i served in the swedish army in a regiment called Wendes Artillery Regiment. The regiment was originally based in northern Germany, in what was then known as Swedish Pommerania. Why a swedish regiment was given a "local" name or why it was kept after the regiment returned to Sweden I don´t know.

When I first joined Russia.com I did it because I wanted to discuss Russia and things russian with others. I stopped coming here when the discussions began to be more about personal attacs and vendettas than things russian. Should this board ever return to its old glory I would be happy to once again take part.

Thomas

Hello Wendist. It is spooky that you just happened to visit when we were just talking about you. Well, as you can see, no one roams these halls but us ghosts.

It's an interesting story about your nick. Definately can create a lot of confusion.

Take care.

I used to visit this discussion board regularly and participate in its discussions. But I didn't like the way this board was being moderated and managed. And that's why I left. And probably that's why many other people left too.

The final straw for me was when an anti-Russian pro-Basaev-terrorist member of this board was appointed to moderate discussions here. I could deal with discussing Russian affairs on equal terms with a guy like that. But a hater of Russians being put in charge and moderating discussions at Russia.com was a bit too much for me. It was a bit like putting Hitler in charge of discussions about the Jews.

This discussion board is not exactly ruled and managed democratically. It's a private business. And members of this board don't have any rights. The only way they can protest is to leave this place and stay away.

Hi Kolya - I am a new here, but have been Moderator on six websites (banned on one for criticizing Israel, and left two when taken over by Saudi sectarians), therefore, I am in the position to say that while Moderator must be unbaised towards the posters - the posters must show some morals and intelligence - instead of plastering the site with their moronic labels, such as 'terrorists', 'anti-Semites', 'Jew-haters', 'Nazis', etc.

Such stupid remarks don't scare most of people these days. It only shows that the person making such remarks is still living in his/her 'self-denial' and judges people according to his/her narrow-mind. May be this history lesson explain you what I mean. Once Dr. Joseph Goebbels had proposed to Fritz Lang to become the film director of the Third Reich. Leni Riefenstahl was not bad, Veit Harlan had skills, too, but Fritz Lang was incomparable, in Goebbels view. “But I am Jewish”, - Fritz had objected. Dr. Goebbels, relentless, had answered: “It’s up to us to decide who is Jewish and who is not”.

It's very cool for the Zionists to blame Hitler for everything which they're themselves carrying-on in occupied Palestine these days. I know questioning 'Six Million Died' - is considered 'Holy Cow' in several western countries - but do you know that there were 150,000 German Jews, plus a Zionist militia, which served Hitler's Nazi Army?

Hitler's Jewish Soldiers

Peace

I only used the analogy of Hitler moderating discussions about the Jews as an example of how ridiculous it is to appoint a moderator who is obviously biased.

A moderator is supposed to be neutral not just in his behavior but also in his appearance.

And when a clearly biased person is appointed to moderate discussions. Then people often end up censoring themselves in order to avoid possible reprimands and sanctions from the moderator.

Discussions cannot be fully free and fair in these circumstances.

Let me sum-up my case.....

One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. Indeed, one man's freedom fighter is the same man's terrorist at different moments in time. The labels only change, but what they label does not change. The evaluation depends on, who doing the labeling, on who is writing the history. The danger here is that history becomes merely propaganda, a fantasy construct based in delusion and absurdity.

Peace
