In the case that you are INDEED now an expert of addiction--then I feel it's obvious that you are standing as a "posterboy" for the "cure," and helping to keep yourself (and the industry) financially stable. This is capitalism--of course, and you do need to make a living, and some people do need help.
Natty, maybe this will clear up your grossly foggy head. I don't make a single dime doing orphanage work in Russia, and I don't make a single dime working with addiction recovery groups. The foundation is non-profit. And the facilitation of 12 step groups for addicts pays nothing. So for you to think like you do is yet more of your flawed thinking. A dad might coach his son's soccer team and know everything about the sport, yet he does not make a living by doing it. A man might go to church for 40 years and know enough about the Bible or the denomination to be considered a “deacon” or “elder” but does that mean he makes his living by going to church. I forgive your idiotic comments.

Patients need doctors; but I've noticed that many doctors (or addiction counselors) don't seem to realize that they need patients just as much...now this is a function of "ego" and "control.".
So emergency rooms in hospitals are full of ego maniacs and control freaks? More idiocy!

Do you really cure a smack head? If you just lock him up in a room--he may very well die from withdrawal itself....If someone does aid him in SOBRIETY--is he cured or just sober....blah, blah, blah....
That is just too stupid to comment on. Do some research please.

It just seems that you mislead a lot of people into believing that you are things that you may or may not be--simply as a political tool, a popularity contest....I thought the thread was about Winst & his family!
It might help if you actually read this thread. Since you know nothing about addiction it makes sense that you don't recognize the patterns in Wu's life. He admitted he was a sex addict. Those were his own words. And if you really think that I want to win a "popularity contest" why am I posting on this forum where we get a whopping two visitors a day?

Would you please write the world press and tell them to stop talking about him & circulating his pictures...women around the world are finding it hard to concentrate on account of all the attention he's getting?
I hope some day you actually make it to Russia and get to spend time with some REAL Russians. Putin is as evil a man as has ever been. Some day you will see that. But he sure looks good........

Castlestormer:

You take "sex addiction" SERIOUSLY? I know, the word "sex" should really get us all going. For many people, sex is one of life's few pleasures....but for you...we know it is really helping starving people.

It doesn't matter if YOU notice the "pattern" as you call it--in WU's life. Does Wu see, and care to change the pattern?

It doesn't matter if I take sex addiction seriously. It matters if YOU take it seriously. Because some day you wil be married to a man who you hope doesn't have a secret life.

The sex industry makes more money than the revenues of all major sports franchises in every major sport combined!

And of course WU sees the pattern. The quote came from HIM and not me. Do you want to be with a man who lives with you and yet posts all over the Internet how he is banging every teen he can mentally seduce? Do you want your better half to get you pregnant and not marry you? Do you want the reputation of the love of your life to be that of an Internet Playboy? If you don't have a problem with any of it...WU is just fine with you.

Thank you! It is reality!

Men are attracted to women, women are attracted to men. Men cheat on their wives, women cheat on their husbands! People hurt each other all the time, and it's not OK with me....

No! I don't hope that my husband will be a "cheater," but I know that he will ALWAYS for the rest of his life want women [in general] to find him attractive, strong and able.

The only thing that I can do, is try not to be that way....society is older than dirt, man. I don't think things will ever change much. Technology has, however, made some things better and made some things worse.

I just don't like people very much, but I'm NATURALLY very sociable, and so I'm learning to live and deal with this fact.
