Just sent you an email.
Dear ILay - I met Ronbo on another message board a couple of years ago and exchanged many EMails and telephone calls with him, the last being on about the 15th of January this year. He related to me that he was very depressed and drinking heavily, but did not say anything about suicide. Ronbo did say he was thinking about "leaving town" and "walking to California." I did meet him in person last year when business took me to Orlando, Florida. Ronbo did not look the least like his picture on his blog, but rather Eastern European looking. If I were casting for a movie and looking for an American to play a Russian, I would pick him. I do recall him saying he was adopted and he thought his birth mother was of either Polish or Russian ancestry. This may explain in part why he posted on this message board.

Is Ronbo still alive? I honestly don't know. I do know he was having trouble with finding a decent job. This was nearly impossible because of his arrest record. I do recall him saying that the USA treated him worse than Russia treated Solzhenitsyn, whom he admired as "The greatest writer and patriot of the 20th century."

My EMail is Shakespeare_1948@yahoo.com

One picture he often used on his blog was Colonel Milliet who was a Korean war veteran that Ronbo served under in Europe. He ( Millet) is an older blond headed guy. I still think Ronbo is OK.But I am not 100 percent sure.

I recall that Ron Bo said he was leaving the internet cold turkey. It is like cigarettes, you can't just smoke one. One woman told him he was leaving because he was depressed. He said it was just the opposite as he had just spend the evening with two of his real world pals and they had a great time.

RonBo did put in a lot of time on the internet. I am glad to see Ilay still post here on occasions. I recall him as a university student but now he has moved up in this world. I used to cling to his every word about Russia.

I don't know what to think about him leaving his job tho, Maybe the Muzzies ate him.
