I tried red hat on my laptop and during installation I had a giant arrow. My screen showed only a tiny corner of the total screen. In desperation I just hit different buttons. Bingo!! I crashed my hard drive. It need a good cleaning anyway.

But, I have heard a lot of people say they like red hat. Only Linux mandrake 8.1--not 8.0-- will work on my laptop.
