I have never craved or expected gifts (except from my boyfriend LOL), so whatever I get will be appreciated, no matter how small or inexpensive. It's not the gifts themselves that give me the warm and fuzzy feelings, but rather the knowledge that I have people around who care about me. Besides, most of my student friends and I are so broke that we can't afford any gifts anyways. We give our friendship to each other instead.
Even when I was a kid, I never really asked for or expected any toys. I was sure happy when I received them, but I wasn't one of those kids whom parents dread going to the shopping mall with.
