Time to get some exercise!!!
____________________________________________________________ N E W Y O R K, Jan. 3 — The residents of Houston just won a dubious distinction that will hit them right at their waistlines. For the second year in a row, the Texas town is "America's Fattest City," according to the fouth annual report in Men's Fitness magazine, set to hit newsstands on Jan. 8. Among "fat cities," Houston ranks No. 1, followed by Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia and Dallas, according to results released this morning on Good Morning America. http://abcnews.go.com/sections/GMA/G...st_cities.html

Daily life is just too convenient. Too many people would rather drive to the store rather than walk a few minutes. And too many eat the fast food junk and chips, popcorn, etc.

Jutka,
You say convenience? Maybe. Food is very inexpensive in the USA. However, I contribute it to something else. Try this. DEPENDENCE. Unhappy? - eat something, feel good. Unhappy? - do a little drugs, feel good. Unhappy? - do a little alcohol, feel good. Unhappy? - do a little religion, feel good. What do you think? Bill |

People do eat too much when they're upset. They should watch their eating habits. Plus, most people are too rushed these days and so grab the fast, inexpensive junk. Not to mention all the sugary things. The worst thing is, they learn all of it from an early age through bad examples.
By convenience I didn't mean ony that food is inexpensive, but people just do things the easy way. Driving when they can just as well walk, etc.
