This subject is gonna get me bashed by the lefties (and yes, Jutka, I mean the libs). But facts are facts. Please try to use your common sense here, as opposed to only emotions.

TO the crippled, mentally handicapped, elderly that cannot take care of themselves, veterans that fought for our freedom, or families with TEMPORARY financial difficulties, this is NOT addressed to you, hence my disclaimer before the bashing starts on me! LOL

THe KEY word as far as families raising their children on it, is clear. TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE is what welfare was created for (once again, for you thin skinned lefties, I do NOT mean elderly, or disabled)

Welfare programs such as we have now, only create dependence, laziness, and lack of initiative

Has any welfare recipient ever thanked you for the money that you worked hard for, and the government stole from you, and gave to them????/

If I had more of my own money that I am taxed to death for, I would choose my own needy person(s) and be glad to help them out in MY WAY! I do not think that handing them free housing, food, health care, etc, is helping anything as far as getting them on their feet and working and becoming financially independent. It only creates more dependency, and the lack of any idea how to make something of yourself.

Many of these families(still speaking of able bodied people) keep having more and more children, that I get to feed, and house...

Since the "War on Poverty" started, we have spent over 5 TRILLION dollars on it, and today, there is NO IMPROVEMENT in the poverty figures.

Hence, the only conclusion you can draw, is that it is a failed program, and needs radically changed or eliminated

LBJs war on poverty.we still have poverty after all those billions of tax dollars wasted on fools.I use to write LBJ and tell him he can not win that war.First you declare war on ignorance.If you cant win that we will always have poverty.

I agree with you absolutely, we have the same problem in Canada... Sometimes, I'm mad beyond belief when I hear about teenaged girls with 5 babies each spending their wellfare money ob drugs and booze, while their kids go hungry and have nothing to wear in winter.
I often see well-fed, well-clothed young men who are covered with piercings and tattoos attack passers-by on the street asking for money...grrrr (their boots are more expensive than mine!)
I do agree though with some able-bodied adults who use wellfare to go to school and improve their education, I'm willing to pay for that as long as they want to become useful individuals in our society.
There are too many examples to post, I'm just sick of seeing almost half of my paycheque gone to nothing..

The beauricrats think there is an unlimited natural resource..The taxpayer.they know that their easy jobs depend upon liberal democrats, the liberal democrats know they can use the taxpayers dollars to buy votes.Those who get free money know they can vote themselves a paycheck.this will take the country down the drain.

My plan would be 6 months consecutively, max in life of 2 yrs (How many emergencies can you have that are that bad?) LOL
