Should the US buy more Russian oil?

The best way to fight terrorism, would be to help
these young democracys of the FSU. America as the leader of the free world has the responsibility to help these infant economies and what better way to do that than to begin buying oil from them? Their standard of living would increase and we could tell the Arabs to shove their oil up their a#%@#!! Along with develop off shore drilling here at home and Anwar. 60 years ago Germany was our sworn enemy, but we helped them and now they are one of the strongest economies in all of europe. Hell, maybe eventually we could cut back on all the foreign aid!
What if in 20 or 30 years eastern europe had the same strong economy as wester europe? The towel heads couldn't deny what capitalism did for them!

You probaly wanted to do even more, but you just could not stay awake long enough.
