I am from the US and I am in a marketing contest with the Bayer Corporation. My assignment is to create a successful marketing campaign for herbal vitamins in Russia. I would just like to know how vitamins are advertised in Russia. What are they packaged in? Where are they sold? Where are they advertised? Who would be most likley to buy them? Even the simplest information would be very helpful, thank you very much.

I'm not Russian, but judging by the Russians that I know, there isn't much need for marketing of Herbal vitamins. Russians are already crazy for that kind of stuff. Especially the babushkas. And they pass on the "knowledge" to the younger generation...
But I may be wrong, so I hope someone else will be more helpful.

Now that I think about it, you may be succesful in marketing the stuff, but your target audience would definitely have to be either the old women (although most don't have too much extra cash to throw around), or the young women (20s and 30s). Just a thought...
Good luck.

I'm not sure I understand what is herbal vitamin. But in Russia there are some very famous vits. such as Vitrum, Centrum, Duovit, Multivit. Some of them are advertised a lot on TV or radio. But they are imported from other countries. As for Russian production one of the most famous pharmaceutical companies is "Akrikhin" which is located in Moscow area. They produce many different vitamins which are popular among not rich people (and babushkas
) Such as Undevit, Revit, Pregnavit and etc. Usually vitamins are used by young people (18-25) and people who a little older (25-45), and after that there is an age group of 50-100 y.o. ![]()
