KEWL, DIX!
Is there technology to do this yet? Somethings gotta be done cause this is an outrage! I heard that skating has become the most popular sport in all the olympics, summer and winter. And has the most money involved! Hey we in America arent immune to skating scandle, remember that crazy bit#h who broke the other girls knee? But this is a whole new level! If it is proven that the French Bit#h threw her vote dont you think the russians should be stripped of their Gold? why not they were second...

Any person who witnessed the performances the other night know that Sale and Pelletier are the rightful gold medal winners. There is no room for argument on this. The Russians had errors, bobbles, and no emotion.
However, this is not the first time Olympic figure skating was rigged. Torville and Dean should have won the Ice dancing contest the last time around, but they (the judges) colluded and gave it to the other pair.

Regardless of what happened - Sele and Pelletier are forever in the hearts of all Figure Skating fans and they will probably eclipse the Tonya/Nancy fiasco of 1995 in news stories.

With Freedom Comes Responsibility

I think that all non-Russian pairs skaters should plan on just sitting down on the ice. After all, why skate when the winner is a foregone conclusion.

In all seriousness, there is only one honest conclusion. Each judge who ranked the Russian pair number one in their ordinal despite the immaculate performace by the Canadians should be summarily stripped of the ability to just any figure skating contest in any venue whatsoever.

In addition, they should be put immediately on aircraft for their home countries. As well, we must have a full investigation, including financials. This stinks!!

The olympics were once about the performance and triumph of the amateur athletic spirit. Unfortunately they have degenerated into just another commercial enterprise.

Once again the French prove they are not to be trusted. The French have nauseated me for years with the antics - "don't fly over my airspace... yadda, yadda" They remind me similarly of the Saudi's, ostensibly an ally but covert enemies.

Viche French....

As the lawyer in "Philadelphia" might say, "Explain it to me like I am four years old. The Russians had errors, the Canadians did not, and yet the Russians win. Why?"

As it stands, I feel badly for the Russian duo who now suffer the indignity of carrying an unearned medal.

Lilly,

The Russians had no emotion? It was the Canadians who looked like robots out there!! The Russian programme was also more complex and sophisticated. They did more than just hold hands and jump a few times...
