Well, I wandered onto this site looking for help with hunting Russian ancestors and finding firefirghter's badges. Didn't find ANYTHING close to what I was looking for, but I did get a chance to view the world from others' perspectives. At times, I've been heartbroken by the hatred and anger out there. At others I just had to smile and laugh out loud at some of the funny things some of you had to say. All in all , I've enjoyed your "company". I may "pop" in from time to time when I need someone to get my mind off and running! I have finally managed to get my "real" web site up and running (I don't count the ones on MyFamily.com & The World Family Tree as REAL sites) and now have to seriously start hunting the Russians in my husband's "closet"! Actually I should say the Carpatho-Rusyns in his closet! May God (or whomever/whatever you believe in) keep you safe and close to his heart & may you find that 2000 brings you peace and happiness!

Cat, I wish you all the luck in the world finding what you are looking for. Have a safe New Years, and do me a favor, stay outta the big cities if you live in the US. Just a little hunch for something that is probally going to happen in the US, although I hope it don't. And it don't have anything to do with the Y2K bug, or any bullsh!t like that. Stay safe Cat, we'll miss yah.
