Why are so many people infatuated with sex?

Frankly, in my opinion, sex is dirty and disgusting and utterly non-essential unless one is going to have kids. My opinion has nothing to do with a religious upbringing. I wondered if anyone else felt the same way. I most certainly do not think about it at work at all. I focus on the job at handand that is that. As me for me "tasting the fruit once"....I most certainly will not. I'm really quite disgusted with the whole idea. At any rate, thanks for replying to my board.

Now if you are strictly speaking from point of view of me having expierence in the matter, then no I guess my opinion in the matter would seem quite meaningless. But to me, just the thought of such an act leaves me feeling quite disgusted. I just think that 99 percent of the world has sex, so therefore the majority opinion is going to be oppositional to mine, but I hold firm in my convictions.

I respect your right to be wrong, but that is your choice. A normal healthy body and mind must follow human nature's calling. I suspect that there was a traumatic event(s) that made you feel that way.

Were you also including self gratification in your statement?

In all honesty, nothing traumatic has happened to me that would make me feel that way. I'm being serious. I think maybe it's because of being exposed to tons of hardcore porn at a very young age from friends. I can't say for sure though. As for self gratification, i'm not denying that I haven't done that in the past....but it always made me feel extremely guilty and dirty. Thus I haven't done that in a long time. Anyway, thanks for taking interest in this particular discussion, as it seems as if no one else really cared to reply.
