------------The latter sentiment............

being sincerely reciprocated. The rainbow colours in your prose encourage a zest for 'life' that's intoxicating.

Andrew...

your words are among the brightly lit sprinklers.. that encourage me to pick up my pen when the thoughts and footsteps are many....

I like to write because I don't have to translate my thoughts to someone else's thinking..It's like kites..

Imagine, that's great to go dancing! I love it also. I also like to dance at home sometimes. Love music like Therion or Cradle of Filth. We usually go out on Friday or Saturday night with freinds from my job. Sometimes we go to dance.
I like what you said:
"Sticking to my plan..driving alone gently shadowed by a fog moon and mist bridges...is midnight therapy. The mosquito that flew up my nose made me laugh. The puppy crossing the road made me slow down..the man with the two ear rings made me thankful..the empty eyes..made me sad.. "
All the little things like that wrote about... we need them in our life.

John_G, nice picture and lyrics Thanks.

Hi valkiry

You are welcome. You like the "Little Ole Band from Tejas"?

How have you been? I haven't seen you on here a lot.. I like to read your thoughts they are sincere...refreshing and intellectually satisfying..

John G.-

The lyrics...are..

New perspectives..being influenced some by babtist legalism..dancing wasn't embraced openly..but I think it's spiritual awakening..i think the keys to realization come with a melody..after all the psalms are singing..when your spirit dances..it's freedom..it's faith that life works out with a popcorn trail..every moment is an opportunity to learn..to celebrate your senses..to remember..to forget..to find the future..to celebrate what is right here..the same minutes are massaged into our initials..once..the people..their life might be better because you are there..because God is your living room..

I am so thankful for the people here.

Hi Imagine,

I can remember when I was teenager and at church youth camp, I tried getting out of dance by telling a minister that I had read dancing was "Satan's Tool." He looked sternly at me and told me to learn how to dance.

Now I know dancing is the only way I can hold a woman in public and not get the "no public displays of affection" look from others.

The first verse is know as "Simple Gifts". It is a popular Shaker song written in 1848.

"Lord of the Dance" was written in 1963 by Sydney Carter.
Both use a melody from Copland's "Appalachian Spring".

I recognize the cheer

It's a theme song right out of my head...

Aaron Copeland... yes...I know about him.....

I have fallen asleep to his passionate serenades...on the recomendation of a very good friend.

Copeland is my FAVORITE composer of all time, but...

He stole the tune! The last seven minutes of "Appalacian Spring" is actually pilfered from an old Shaker spiritual tune. It still brings a tear to my eye every time I hear his rendition of it.

And do you want to know how old I am? I saw ZZ Top in San Antonia when they were just teenagers at a dump called "The Teen Canteen". This was before there were beards. They were just mediocre. Damn I'm old!

Old?!

You have the benefits of life experience and wisdom.

You have the physical and mental vigor of effervescent youth.

Your candles are just beginning.
