17???!!!

Stay away from boys and do not let your hormones get the best of you. Focus on your plans for college. I am 5 years older than you, and I can tell you EXACTLY where you are going to end up if you waste your time with guys right now. I know that guys seem so exciting, but they are so not. Relationships are for grown-ups. Once you are done with college, then worry about all that garbage. For now, put yourself first. I did not put myself first, and have made my life bad because of it. Now I am almost 23, and in college. I have to start all over, and am just getting older. I should have been done by noe. Sweetie, PLEASE do not make that mistake!!
I disagree.
Stop scaring the girl to death!!

I "wasted" time on guys as well and I didn't end up so bad. I'll finish law school soon, I have a job lined up and I'm getting married soon as well - to someone I've been dating since my first year of university.
I also dated others before I met him and did just fine academically.

Some can handle it and balance their lives and prioritize.

Besides, college itself is a perfect place to meet someone.

And worse things happen if you wait until after college!!
Trust me, I've seen it happen.

ps. Tira, I'm 3 years older than you so trust me!!

Hi Ash,

Like I said, I don't think there's anything wrong with you dating. Just don't take it too seriously and school does come first. The others who gave you advice here wrongly assume that you can't do both (date and school) and they're wrong.
Go ahead and date, but put school first. Guys come and go (except the good ones, which you keep), but your skills and education (or lack thereof) stay with you forever.

And by the way, Russian guys are a good pick.

Anymore questions?

"No matter the age, race, or nationality?"

If I where you I would think about what it is that you really want out of life.

Jutka is right go out and enjoy yourself.

Yea I figured Russian Guys were a good choice. I just want someone who will treat me right and can also give me encouragement that i need to finish school. Sometimes it helps to have a significant other to help push you along on life's journey. So does anyone know any good guys!??
