Castlestormer:
I didn't read anything about dogs in the book [in reference to Beria], perhaps you marked the page so I could re-read it. Is the transliteration Ber[i]a or Berea...Did the author get it wrong? I thought you were an american born member, you seem more and more of a foreigner to me [since you first launched on the board].....? Eta nye minya delo! NVKD...was the name of the service during that time period, it didn't become KGB until Stalin's death...I was placing a time frame on Rimma's "defecting." Rimma is "name dropping." P.S. Are you trying to be humorous? You reminded me of SNL Chris Kattan character "Mango....:" Nooo, Nooo, I'm done here...go away." |

Castlestormer:
You said that you are not trying to be humorous....that is too bad. I figured it out, I think...it would be Ber[ee]ya! What I can't figure out (now) is that you say Rimma thought (by mass psychology standards) that Stalin would pop up and shoot everybody (In disbelief of his death) and exact punishment. However, she is suppose to have personal information about the behavior of Berea (was she in the car?). You are describing two contradictory mind-sets...although people are complex...what exactly lead to her defector status? Or perhaps you wouldn't choose to talk about her anymore, right now? I think you did read it in a book and I was trying to find out what book! You are kind of famous, in your own specific way or by community standards (or lack of them)... Natalie |

Rimma lived in Moscow then. She was a student at Moscow University. I thought I already said that. And did you really ask if she was in the car with Beria? Do you actually think that she would ride in the car with him? How would a teenage student get access to the personal car of Stalin's aid? She was a young girl during Beria time. She was much older when she defected in 1964. I am not sure how much clearer I can be. I didn't read it in a book. I heard it from her lips. Ponyatno?
And again I puzzled why you think that describes "two contradictory mind sets". Being afraid of being raped by Beria. Being afraid of being shot by Stalin? Not trusting Beria. Not trusting Stalin. Living in fear of Beria. Living in fear of Stalin. Wanting to stay away from Stalin. Wanting to stay away from Beria. Yep. You are right . Those must be two completely different mind sets. They have absolutely nothing in common with each other. There is no common thread in the outlook of those two different situations. It looks like night and day. You are one sharp cookie.

O.K. I see...
1) You have contributed to the good of russian welfare through charity work and also personal experience (by aiding a friend in emotional need). 2) You are speaking of the "Propaganda of FEAR" that was prominant in russia during stalin's reign as totalitarian dictator. 3) You are bashing me for asking you more questions about a person (you turned to god) who has first hand experience during this period of time--and for trying to understand more about her life. 4) Would you make a good diplomat or teacher? *********************************************************************************** AND YOU DO THIS ALL HERE ON THE "Vladimir Putin Delivers" thread....as a tactic to strengthen your personal assault against him? *********************************************************************************** Am I hearing you, correctly? P.S. Stalin is dead. Russia is a democracy, now. You are promoting the same sort of fear and [potential] illusion Rimma apparently was running escaping [in this case, what about those who can't "escape?"] |

That's funny. Know any Russians over there that voted? Ask them if they thought their election was fair, democratic, and unrigged.
English Russia » Ballots Art 2008 This is one of the most tame collections of what they wrote on their ballots in protest of the phony Russian election. God Bless Democracy! The only reason Medvedev is president is because Putin was afraid to change the Russian constitution to let him stay there another term. He'll be back in 4 years. Watch and see. You heard it here first. Medvedev won't make a single decision without Putin's OK because he is "hand picked" by your shirtless love god. That's real democracy.
