Does anyone know the quickest way to get a russia woman a visa to come to the states? I also need to know if there is a cost for the visa and if they have to pay plane fare. If there is cost on them both, how much money are we talking about? I welcome all views on this.

Quickest way? Probably bribery.
I wouldn't suggest that route though ![]() There will be a fee for a visa, and of course there will be a cost for the airfare! I WISH it was free!! ![]() You best call the US consulate in Russia (or get her to do it) and get all the information that way. Good luck!

Uh, as far as costs go..
I can tell you what I paid, and chances are it will differ because I'm from Canada. The visa itself was $80 (though my good friend Vlad at the consulate has informed me now that the cost has gone up a little) and the air fare I got a SUPER deal on. I paid $1320.80 total for my airfare. I got my airfare though the Automobile Assn. here in B.C. I would try asking the one in the USA...uh..sorry, I forgot, you're not the one travelling. Well, That's just to give you an idea. I have a contact that can tell you what the cost for airfare for someone going from Russia to the USA would be...let me know if you're interested then. Glock-girl is giving good advise.....there are fees for everything that you are trying to do...and bribery may not be out of the question. It seems to be the way of getting things done, especially in Moscow.
My wife and I just returned from Russia. While there we tried to secure a visa for her brother (unsuccessfully, I might add). There is a non-refundable $45 US just to submit the application. My brother-in-law had to wait in Moscow for 10 additional days for his interview as they are very much backed up this time of year. And then, he was denied a visa. The lady in front of him for interview was being denied for the 5th time. It is fairly easy to travel into Russia....but to get a visa out is not as easy. You may want to try one of the visa-securing services. These guys seem to know the ropes to pull. Airline travel for free....I wish. Russians travel within their country for reasonable charges (although even that is increasing). We found roundtrip tickets for under $1000 which is not free. Also found that tickets were a bit cheaper sold in Moscow than in the States. Good luck.... |

About visa
The tourist visa(B-2)cost $65. Your girl can get it in 2 or 3 days after her visit to US embassy or consulate. But it's very hard to get that visa for young girl because she must show that she get a good salary, have a apartment and etc.
If you met your girl earlier so she can get her feancee visa (K-1) but it can takes 3-6 month and cost $45. The cheapest airlanes are Aeroflot and KLM. And your girlfriend can know more info on http://www.julialynam.narod.ru. Best wishes.
