Interesting men in moscow?

Hi there,

I have only seen discussions about men trying to find women in Russia so far. What about the other way around?I am a German girl (27), very attractive (certainly true) who has tried dating sides before in Germany and also in Englad where I lived previously. Now I am planning to move to Moscow next year and am interested to maybe meet some interesting Russian guys. This doesn't seem to be common, why? I would be interested to meet some decent guys, so where should I look and are there any dating sides for women looking for men?

just a thought...

I have a very attractive woman friend from Russia whom I work with and she is very happy she no longer has to rely on Russian men. According to her, they are all alcohalics from very young and women have very little they can do to keep them from drinking. They make very little money to support a family, and many leave the woman once they realize fatherhood is much harder than it looks. And the average life expectancy of Russian men these days are under 60 years of age, mostly due to alcohal abuse.
So from her perspective, she would rather be in America dating men here, then get in a relationship with a man in Russia, as she told me they drink daily to the extreme and come home and possibly hit her and not even remember the next day. She has 3 sisters she is trying to get to America as soon as she can too.
Good luck in Moscow... I'm an American going to Moscow myself this summer and hopefully the Ukraine as well. J E

I have heard the same about Russian men, they treat women like they are a piece of meat.

I don't know about the Russian men in Russia but the ones in Canada are not like that, at least not the ones I know.

Generalizations are never a good indication of what men or women, for that matter, are like. Alcohol is a problem in Russia (among men and women), but not every man is an alcoholic.

Russian men don't have an easy life. It's a pretty macho culture, and there are more demands placed on men than on women. Just surviving military service is a great accomplishment.
