I am not of those immigrants who blames there country for all bad things, but I am one of those who can state the simple fact, based on,not only personal observation and life
expr.,but also on ability to analyse the situation. The truth is - Russia is just started its recovery, very painful
one.The economy is crushing:inflation, instability - you name it.But the main thing is - human resources.Russia is loosing people, young, intelligent people, who can make all the difference in building the future, are leaving or trying to leave or left.My University desided to close the student exchange program because 90% of students(every year) never came back. They decided to built there future anywhere alse, but not in Russia. What are you going to do in 30-40 years from now?I would also like to add, that somehow you, people, are always have the same problem with not taking serious the importance of intelligent resources. This should be #1 problem, not anything alse.
I left Russia 2,5 years ago.I am 26 now.My family stayed back there and in the next 6 month my little daughter will come to leave with me.I left Russia because I didn't see my future there, because I didn't want to spend my life surviving every single day, because I wanted to live with dignity and respect for myself and for my accomplishments, because I didn't want to worry how,on Earth,I am going to get 100$ glasses for my daughter(she had critical condition with her eyes)making only 25-30$ a month, working full-time as a teacher and because I didn't
want my little girl to grew up in the country with no choices. So,I am here-in America.I came here on my own and,
yes,I had some very hard times here.Now,2,5 years later
I can honestly say that coming to America was the best decision I ever made in my life.I accomplished here more than I would accomplish back in Russia in a lifetime.I achieved financial securuty and because of it my mother
doesn't have to worry about money any more,my father was able to print his book, the theory he was warking on for 25 years and couldn't print it because the Academy of S. couldn't afford it,even though, this theory was proven to be the greatest descovery in Math. in 75 years, and my daughter was able to go to the pr. school and after she will come to America I will be able to give her any opportunity to make sure she will have succesful life.I am proud of all this things.I worked very hard for it.Finally,as much as I love Russia and appreciate its culture ,I would like to say that, yes,America is Supirior because America gives you a true freedom.I could only dream, back in Russia, about this kind of freedom...

If you haven't got any power or desire to be with your country when it is in it's beginig - it's your deal. But I can't understand the aim of the discussion. Do you want me to leave Russia as you did, or, may be, you want to prove, that you're the cleverest, cause you refuse to live in a country where's hard to live? Or, perhaps, smth else?

Your addition as a Russian immigrant to prove your rightness in Russian question is a shame of you.

I don't think she wants you to leave. But you are here judging her for leaving. Everybody should make their own decision.

Just because you are doing well in Russia doesn't mean everyone else is.

I'm not judging her for leaving. It's her deal. I disaprove of what she is telling about Russia. As I sad befor, to speak about Russian problems you have to live there.
I was poor too. I even hated my life. I began to work when I was 14. Now I'm 18. And my life is much more better then it was. And I'm still here in Russia. And I'm not judging those who left the country, I'm even not juging americans for their self-confidiens in international political questions. I just want you not to treat us for our problems. Solve yours.

Well, she DID live in Russia, so she has plenty of authority to speak about life there. She told us all about her life there. What do you mean, "solve yours." We can talk about whatever we want here. Nobody ever attacked Russia here, so don't be so defensive.
