BenCa,

I loved to, but for the moment I can not tell much because she fears that it would reveal her identity and she has still her job and will only quit when we will be married and when she will have the papers to live here. If I talk about things like income and what she does, a colleague of her that would read it, would recognize her immediately.
It sounds maybe paranoid but I want to respect her trust in me.
In two words: she has diplomas that in USA would give her a cozy life but in Russia is barely enough to buy food and clothes.

I think also that she fears that Russia could become communist again.

Somewhere on this board I wrote that I was able to retrace her carreer by mean from internet. If I can, someone else can do also.

About her motivation to emigrate: she gives up her carreer, all the years she has been studieing for it, her friends and family to become a housewife. So she has a very strong motivation, stronger than I can understand.

Shpulka,

Don't forget that many people who want to leave CAN'T. There are some concerns, and officials always look very closely at papers because of dangers of trafficking women and mafia.

Anyways, the discussion started because you are so sensitive and don't like people to say that Russia is doing badly economically. You said those words hurt you. Well, it can hurt you but it doesn't mean it's not true.

Whether the population decline is because of emigration or a matter of birth rate matters little in proving whether or not Russia is in trouble economically Shpulka. Why do you think Russians don't have that many kids anymore? Because the average Russian family cannot raise kids in the way that they would like to, because of finances, ie poverty.

I think Putin said it best:

"For many people, it is difficult to bring up children, to secure for their parents the conditions for a dignified old age. It is difficult to live. Year by year, we, the citizens of Russia, are getting fewer and fewer...We face the threat of becoming a senile nation."

Cool Immigration of Russians

We are talking about official statistics here. But let's not forget about thous immigrants who came in the USA or any
other country not legaly. And let's not forget that we are talking only about those Russians who left Russian Federation. There was 15 of former Soviet Republics and I know that large numbers of Russians immigrated from the whole Soviet Union. If you will put all of it together you will see that the numbers of Rassian immigrants are really
impressive.I also think that no country, esp.Russia in the given economical condition can afford to loose such an amount of people. What do you think?

Wow!Obviously, you have lots of free time.Anyway,I find myself in the situation where I have to defend myself. The art of discussion is to be paciant,to know how to listen.I am VERY
sorry that I got you so annoyed with me asking so many questions.Well,at least I made an affort to understand you better. You find my posts are being very emotional, what is wrong with it?We are all people and it happenes to be very touchy subject for me.I believe you were speaking from emotions too, sayng that it "...hurts,when somebody saying something bad about Russia."
As I understood, you would like to have discussion with people who have good skills and well educated, who has degree
in economics and etc.Sorry to tell you,in case you didn't notice, this is <PERSONALS> -here you can go as far as sharing your feelings.Try to go to <POLITICS> or <BUSINESS>
on Russian forum.Maybe, you will be ,finally, satisfite with
response to your requarements.
Well, regarding our,I wouldn't even say discussion, but argument. You see,I find it very boring, uninteresting and, francly, pointless.I am very tired of it and would kindly appriciate if you will live me alone and make it not of your consern in wich manner and how I am sharing all I know about my country with people on this forum.
You asked about my education. Here it is:
University of Foreing Languages- M.degree in linguistic
State Pedagogical University -M. degree in World Literature.
For the statistics on immigration go on:
