I was curious. I've never really been around Russian men, and I'm not going to Russia for 11 more months. So I wanted to ask a few questions to those who've been around them alot, etc. By the way - I think Russian men are the sexiest men in the entire world, lol. And the accent is so cute. It's the best accent in my opinion.
Okay. How do the men usually treat women? How do the say we're boyfriend/girlfriend? Or do they? Do they like American girls? How are they different from American men? Okay, those are all I can think of. But anything you could tell me would be nice. I plan on moving there next year after I visit. That is, if I like it when I visit. And I'm curious about the men. Thanks! Hugs, Lize |

Hi Lize
There are a few differences between Russian and American men..
Russian men have table manners; they do not chew with their mouth open, they know which fork is used for which salad, they stand up when you get up to use the ladies room and get up again when you come back to the table, they wait untill you finish chewing to ask you a question...etc... Russian men open doors, pool out chairs, ask questions about your family, send flowers to you and your mom ![]() They are more romantic in the long run if you marry a Russian man, they stay romantic, hold your hand when you're together, buy you flowers on March 8 and for your birthday even after 50 years of marriage ![]() There are many many things I love about Russian men as you can see LOL But I can say the same about Hungarian, Ukrainian, Estonian men. Also, there are American men with these qualities, but I've only heard of them, never met them I also know that there are Russian men who have no manners and no clue as to how to treat a woman, but they are only few and far between![]() Which Russian city will you visit? Maby there are people here on this board from the city of your choice ![]() Irina P.S. Welcome to Russia.com ![]()

Thank you for answering so fast.
I'll be in Moscow for a month. I don't know anyone there. I'm going with my friend, she's been going to Russia for 15 years, and she speaks it SO much better than me. ![]() She told me that if you get a Russian man to really fall in love with you that he'll love you forever. Do you think that's true? She's saying this because she has a few friends who worship their wives even though their wives treat them horribly, lol. Also, do Russian men tend to have affairs? Or no? Is that just a bad rumour? Hugs, Lize |

There is a new young man here who is writing from Moskow, his username is Yuriii, he is 31, why not contact him and ask for specifics Just read today's latest threads![]() Irina

God, it's all so funny!
By reading most of what Irishka wrote you may assume that "Russian man" some sort of creature that leaving on the far planet. Myself been a guy from Moscow living in a States for some time now (been single), I could tell you that each nationality has it's own pros and cons. For example Americans have different idea of what family values are, my American married friends saying: so what that I'm not happy of my marriage, but kids and family - N1, and I'm willing to suffer the rest of my live and so one. Didn't know much Russian guys who would share such an opinion. I'm not saying that all American are family-men and Russians are not, but we talking percentages. Again this was just an example. Talking about values of a Russian man you need to take an account priorities and values of a russian woman. Bottom line, mentality is a thing you got once and live the rest of your life, so you better of with species of you own kind. Off cause there're exemptions. |
