A ritual is a ceremonial action. Christianity is a belief system. One involves believing. The other involves doing.

You amaze me with your feigned ignorance Bill. Your attention seeking is a cry for help. Maybe now is a good time to start praying.

Maybe I am thinking of the wrong Christianity. The Christianity that I was thinking about has mucho rituals.

Here are just a few: Church Services, Praying, Communions,
Baptism, Last Rights, Blessing before Fottball games, Blessing before the start of a Rodeo, Blessing of the Fleet,
Blessing before Blessing, Wedding Service, Burrial Service
and last but not least, my all time favorite ritual: Confession and the required penance to be followed by ABSOLVANCE. (Sorry if I overlooked your favorite ritual.)

Once more, what makes Christianity different from a PAGAN
RITUAL? As a bonus clue, I would like to mention one other thing. Practically every bell and whistle that Christianity is based on is copied from PAGAN MYTHS and PAGAN RITUALS.
The Sacrificing and Cursing Rituals have been eliminated when the Infidels highly developed values and morality, no longer tolerated it. Although it would probably help with the collections.

You miss the point of my thread, it is not to preach how Halloween is bad, but I simply want to show darker facts of Halloween.

Halloween has a long, long history, I picked one of the earliest facts of that history. So don’t attack by saying that its not researched, do your research and then correct mine.

What you posted is not the earliest facts, Halloween went through changes, but It originated from the facts I posted. Changes such as Catholics not wanting to lose this holiday/practice, so they made some changes to the Halloween in order to keep Halloween, they purified it so to speak. But the facts still stand that Halloween came from some very dark practices of which I posted above.

And what you posted about Jack, its also true. It doesn’t mean that what I posted is not true. It would be a long thread if I was to post every fact, I simply picked the very earliest.

And I suggest that if you disagree with any facts I posted, please post the correct once, and keep in mind that I went looking for the earliest facts I could find.

The FACT is that all the rituals connected to Christianity have a PAGAN origin. Try to explain how you can have Pagan Rituals and not be a PAGAN Religion.

Halloween IS BAD! There is absolutely nothing good about that day, or anything associated with it. Period!

And the truth of the matter Fallen is there NEVER was anyone named Jack. That is an old wives tale. The expression Jack-O'Lantern comes from a Gaelic/French expression for the lantern and the death curses associated with it. And I hate to tell you this fallen, but concerning trick or treating you wrote:

Weird Al Yankovic sang it best: "Dare To Be Stupid". Christianity has ABSOLUTELY NO RITUALS ASSOCIATED WITH IT AT ALL!!!! Period! Religion does, Christianity doesn't. Christianity is a BELIEF SYSTEM! All you have to do is believe. "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved". You are then a Christian. If you don't understand this by now, after all the posts, you will never get it!!!!!!!!!! You must have come from the Y chromosome horny angels apes with thumbs decendents.

Once again you are seperating cause from effect. Is there any place on this earth where Christianity is practiced the way you paint it? I do not know of any. The fact is that, without all the Rituals, the cult would be dead already.

The Christianity that you speak of does not exist. Be HONEST, you practice the rituals that I described above. The Concept of Mary being impregnated by the Holy Spirit is in itself RITUALISTIC. It is found time and time again in previous Pagan Myths.
