"... was blind, but now I see..." (John Newton, ex-slave trader).

With God all things are possible. On my part I am not ruling anything out. I'm just highlighting a reality check here.

Saul was a deeply religious person with deep knowledge of Judaism. He thought he was serving God by attempting to eliminate Christians. He was no atheist to begin with; nor even taunting God and prayer.

But again all things are possible with God. Each individual situation is unique. Very hardened souls are difficult to shake until some catastrophic or life-and-death situation are staring them to rethink the life after.

When so-called intellectuals were abandoning God in Europe, Blaise Paschal offered them the divine bet to consider: If God is real and you die not believing in Him, you lose for eternity; on the other hand, if you believe in God but it turned out to be untrue, you lose nothing --- you still ended up with moral virtues.

Russian Roullette would be easier to understand here. Playing with one's eternal destiny. This is where Bill U is in now.

Theja,

When I said that a properly conducted Prayer Ritual must contain a SACRIFICE, I was talking about the entertainment value, strictly. According to Church Leaders, the Church will be dead in England within the next fourty years. I believe that if sacrifice and door prizes and perhaps cock fighting (chicken type) was made part of the prayer RITUALS, people would be flocking back into the church.

Look, American Churches are full. SRO. They use methods copied from the WWF. If it works in the US it will work anywhere.

What do you think?

Bill

Cool WWF

I must have missed that!! We have not had any wrestling matches in my church. Oh I think a few may have had spiritual wrestling with the devil but it was not visable. There is always an invisable fight going on.
