Is Buddhism a Religion?

Religion is from the greek word reglios meaning bound by belief.

The buddhism though have doctrine are not doctrinair. Those that worship one god tend to be a little peturbed when other gods are admired. Sometimes those that go beyond the doctrine of one god are punished by death or pushed off the face of the earth.

Buddhism is not a religion one can take what buddha said and live by all the tenants or not and it's very pliable in that it can still be relavant even in different cultures.

If a label should be put on buddhism I would just go for the word cult. Since it's practices are very open.
