Forgive me for being abrupt as I am quite stressed out now.

I know that Andrew would want me to let you all know as to what has happened.

Andrew Blow has suffered a stroke. I was on an overseas phone call with Sue. Andrew was out doing a job survey the other day when he complained of a headache and was babbling when he spoke. Sue, who works in a Dr.'s surgery recognized the symptoms and immediately took him to hospital. Smart woman.

I received a text message from him the day before yesterday and it started to make sense but ended with a jumble of letters.I attributed it to a glitch but when I didn't hear from him I started to worry.

I have been apprised by the family that he is expected to be in hospital for the next ten days and he has paralyses on one side. (classic stoke symptoms btw)

CastleStormer: Cat is looking after Andrew's emails at the moment. I understand you are scheduled to have him meet you at the airport.

A brief history: Andrew's cancer has returned and he has been undergoing medical treatment for it. He has been suffering lately with heart palpations. Andrew underwent several tests - the end result of which is that he has an arrythmia of the heart - He was told to take it easy, not get too busy and excited etc. Well he has always been a man who rushed to do everything and is trying to take things slowly. He said to me a few weeks ago, "Lil, I am 60 now and I have to learn to slow down. I tend to do everything in a hurry."

The day before he suffered his stroke, he went to the gym for the first time in a while. He was told that the medication (can't recall the name) might be the cause of his heart skipping.

Sue says that it will be some time before Andrew regains full function of his faculties. The prognosis looks good, according to the doctors. I hope very much so.

Please friends, pray and give a kind thought for Andrew to recover. He is good man. Also let us pray and give strength to Sue,Catherine and Roger.

I shall keep you posted on Andrew's progress.

My love and best wishes to all.

Lilly

Oh my, i just came home from work and i just read this thread...

Omnipotent and eternal God, the everlasting Salvation of those who believe, hear us on behalf of Thy sick servant, Andrew, for whom we beg the aid of Thy pitying mercy, that, with his bodily health restored, he may give thanks to Thee in Thy church.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Our views may be poles apart, but i still love him as a person.
Hope he gets well soon.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest"
(Matthew 11:28)

I agree! And there is power in agreement!

May the Lord show himself merciful in this situation.

Thank you Lilly! Please tell Andrew how much he is loved here.
