Lord of the Ring
IN my opinion, Gollum represents, Mankind. After the Fall. No matter how hard he tries to find his old "self" the draw to the power and knowledge of the "ring" keeps him going in a repeated Circle, which of course will eventually be his Fall.....into, enternity. I think that J.R. much like C.S Lewis is using lots of symbolism, therefore it will be interpreted many ways. Society, powers, money, human nature, all of this is dealt with in a creative and amusing manner. I cant wait to see the final movie of this trilogy. Shelama, johnnymaniac
