I need to readjust my info on Frodo...

I'm being lazy to scan the book and find out what is it that makes Frodo uniquely qualified to possess the ring and yet not destroyed by it.
The amount of time that he has it in his possession.
Gollum had it for 100's of years.
Bilbo for 10's of years.
Frodo just years.
Samwise days or hours.

Lord of the Ring

IN my opinion, Gollum represents, Mankind. After the Fall. No matter how hard he tries to find his old "self" the draw to the power and knowledge of the "ring" keeps him going in a repeated Circle, which of course will eventually be his Fall.....into, enternity. I think that J.R. much like C.S Lewis is using lots of symbolism, therefore it will be interpreted many ways. Society, powers, money, human nature, all of this is dealt with in a creative and amusing manner. I cant wait to see the final movie of this trilogy. Shelama, johnnymaniac
