Would it not be the fact that they keep their minds on the Word of God, and not what comes out of the pulpits of many church groups? Just believing what GOD says and relying on the oly Spirit of God to direct them?

I believe that - in 'the last days' (even more than today) false religions will arise (as the Bible says) that will be SO PLAUSIBLE, so believable....that a vast majority of people will accept what they hear. They will become 'religious' very suddenly, because they hear somthing that pleases their ears, and see things that they consider amazing. They will 'join the crowd'.

WHY?

Because Satan is the master of disquise...'the great deceiver' and his servants will offer the masses what appears to be a universally acceptable religion. It is at this point that EVEN THE ELECT (God's children around the world) will be threatened, as they will have to stand out for the actual truth of God and His Word - when all the world appears to want to persecute them......and probably will persecute them. Only those who have a solid understanding of christian principals and doctrines and also have the bravery to stand up for what they believe in the power of Holy Spirit, will not give in to eternal deception.
