response to christian aid in time of need
I was working in Spokane, Washington at the biggest company there and had to go to the hospital. Holy Family Hospital if I remember correctly. They gave me some forms to fill out asking for my social security number and a promise to pay. I didn't give them the number and I didn't promise to pay and for the longest time I kept getting bills eventhough the problem occured at work.
Totally amazing, that a religious hospital would ask for a social security number and then ask for me to pay. Bugs me out that all these religious groups go to other countries and/or help people immigrating to the US, in order to increase their paritioners, but to those already here (native americans come to mind) they ask for social security and payment plans. Religion is a total joke. It's so easy to poke holes into their belief system, sort of like the laws of government, one big loophole, except one group is run by clerics and the other attorneys or corparate freaks.

Rikbe, it seems that Christianity ideals are fading in Western Europe but you have to recognize that we Europeans are built on Christian fundament and it stays in our souls even if pushed down to the bottom. Criticism makes us aware to many problems of contemporary challenges but it would be really a disaster for Europe to betray Christian ideals which inspired successive generations of Europeans. |

Do you have something against Serbs? Of course you do! You are save in your chair, like your's ancestors did! And who is always here "to be on the border of Christianity" and who is always guilty because "keeping the honour of old madame Europe"? Serbs! Yes, Serbs! But, mr rikbe, Islam comes in Belgium too, and than you'll see why you need faith! And you'll see why your's ancestors have made big mistake about Serbs. And once, when some soldier of Islam comes in your flat, please, try to explain to him that you are atheist (ha,ha,ha)...I think that he'll not be to much interested in your opinion...
"At first we were confused. The East thought that we were West, while the West considered us to be East. Some of us misunderstood our place in the clash of currents, so they cried that we belong to neither side, and others that we belong exlusively to one side or the other. But, I tell you, Ireneus, we are doomed by fate to be the East in the West and the West in the East, to acknowledge only heavenly Jerusalem beyond us, and here on earth - no one". St. Sava to Ireneus 12th century Be comfortable, dear Europe! And you rikbe, too! But Islam comes...
