Fashion on God's Catwalk

The way people dress does not make them more closer to god or reaffirm their faith. It might as well be a chip on your shoulder.

When I worked in New York there were Hassidic Jews that couldn't turn a knob to open the door because it violated some religious law.

I usually opened the door a few times I didn't and probably was damned to hell for all eternity.

Why do people want to wear uniforms anyways?

The problem is people make assumptions without knowing the real opinions. Burka and veil are direct opposites.

If you actually come up to any Muslim woman, your coworker, etc and ask them about the veil you'll have a more clear picture.

Most Muslim women choose to wear it because of morality laws or family conservativeness, etc, it is as "religious" as a long dress or long sleeves. Every woman has the right to reveal as much of herself as she desire, many want to be considered for somethign more than their looks ( or lack of ) and its a personal choice. ( Women in my family dont wear it, but if they did I would not mind )

Muslim women in France protest because they want to wear it, not because they think God will punish them for it. That'd be absurd.

Think about 300 years forward, where everyone wears only Thongs, and people try to assign pants/skirt as "religious". Silly.

freedom from ugly

Really I think it's ok for people to wear a holloween mask if they think it's going to improve their life.

If I can go into a house of worship with a skull or devil mask and sit without anyone bothering me then I think people should be able to wear whatever they want in public places.

Hats, bandanas, and sunglasses have no place in schools (unless your outside playing sports or need the eye protection) and does not contribute to the learning process.

Veil, as in the one covering the hair, not the face.
