I personally don't believe in evolution. But if I did, I wonder how it would explain religion. Religion doesn't seem to fall under survival, yet there is still the need for a God that everyone has. Does anyone have an explaination?

Awesome Johnny!

And everyone knows where I stand on religion: Just Say No! Religion killed Jesus.

Religion is human attempt to please God. No one in the world can understand God unless God reveals Himself.

Revelation is God's mercy to reach man. The Bible records God's dealings with humans and His plan of salvation.

Evolution has no scientific evidence. Rock dating is faulty with millions of years being tossed around (mixed with guesswork). Anti-Evolution and Anti-Rock dating is not Anti-science. But this propoganda is what the secular world is trying to impose on academia.

One can be an excellent scientist without having to embrace evolution. Science has no answer on how the world came into being. It can only study what is already in the world.

I don't accept that in this supposedly enlightened day and age people need God.Perhaps our primitive ancestors needed deities but surely we have moved beyond that stage.Religion in the past was a vast edifice of dogma which clerics and men of influence actively promoted in order to bolster their secular power and wealth. They constructed meaningless doctrines around the teachings of Christ and in so doing created a religion which is the antithesis of Christ's moral teachings.Scientists not clerics will be the theologians of the future-the creeds, liturgies, dogmas and other rubbish that mankind has clung onto for centuries will soon be a thing of the past.

The position of Andy is perfectly described in 1 Corinthians 2:9 : "that the secular world will try to dismiss anything that the human mind cannot conceive, that which the eye cannot see, and that which the natural ear cannot hear". Meaning SCIENCE and HUMAN REASONING alone.

Christianity accepts SCIENCE and HUMAN REASONING. But it goes one step further: the Spiritual encounter that can only be experienced personally. (1 Cor. 2:10-14).

Jesus calls it "BORN AGAIN". Beyond the physical birth. (John 3:1-12).

I think this is deviating considerably from the topic. I asked how one explains religion through evolution. I really don't think it can be explained, but am open to ideas.
