Decyphering the final battle ?

Hey Castle : Im not such a big believer in Nostradamus, but I do find that he was correct at least in some of his predictions. Anyway, when we talk of end of the world, anything related should be brought for consideration, even Nostradamus.

Theja, it seems the whole theory oscillates around Israel. Jerusalem is a holy city for all religions, so I believe in its significance. However, I will say that I do not see today's Israel as a place that God would be content with, so IMO Israel hasnt yet become what it has to.

The argument here is that I read about a Jewish group living in Canada, a very orthodox group ( almost fundamentalist ) that refuses to go to Israel, because it says that "gathering at Israel" has not taken place properly, I/e the brutal policies with which Israel invaded do not correspond to the prophesized re-creation of Israel, and thus these people are waiting till the true "gathering" comes about. They feel the Zionists made this move too early. I tend to agree with that.

From some of my knowledge of this issue from the Quran, I'll say that Quran says that a time will come when Jews will create great mischief, and will be punished. This refers to communism I believe, its violent spread in the world, and its destructive effects particularly in Russia. ( Russian Revolution, one of the bloodiest things to have happened to humanity ), which later culminated in Hitler's hate for communism and Jews, and the holocaust. ( In his youth, Hitler witnessed a failed attempt by Zionists to create a communist revolution in Germany )

Quran then goes on to say that Jews will be rewarded with great wealth, stability, power, and God will help them. ( I believe referring to modern Israel, their defeat of the Arabs in 1950s, current aid from US, general might, but thats a theory ) At this point, Jews will again create great mischief in the world, and again incurr punishment, according to the prophesy.

I believe that we are at the stage now, and that the true "gathering" in Israel will happen afterwards, where all Abrahamic religions will seal their unity. ( Those who will represent true Islam have yet to appear from the awakening that the Islamic world has to go through ).

At this point believers will be separated from unbelievers, some "muslim" and "christian" countries will separate themselves from the believers ( true Jews, Christians, Muslims ) and form their own pact of opposition, and thus God and Magog shall come into being.

Anyway, thats my thoughts on the whole topic.

Can you imagine a small nation hogging the headlines almost every week throughout the world? So things are shaping up according to prophecy, but we can only see the trends and not the details until they come to pass.

Could you supply us with those Quranic verses concerning prophecy? I'd like to see and compare notes.
