I guess that was "ok" for them because it depicted Christ in a blasphemous, indecent or obscene manner and considered it a work of "art" but subject Mel's film to scrutiny in efforts to find fault with his depiction of Christ's passion and death, simply because it was historic and potrayed everyone (Yes, that includes YOU and I) as taking part in His death?
This is too funny. When fundamentalists are "all over something" they are called intolerant and judgemental. When they are not "all over something", they are allured to as being hypocritical. Fundamentalists have always been up in arms in over that work...then and NOW!

Who is ths Veronica lady, and is she the one you guys believe to be responsible for the shroud of Turin?

I thought The Passion was really good. BTW, Fundamentalists threatened to kill Scorcese after "Last Temptation of Christ", I heard it was a big thing. Hollywood's been scared of religious films ever since...

Andrew...

It is quite simple, isn't it?
There are "blacksheeps" everywhere Andrew,
not only amongst Protestants/Fundamentalists but also the Catholic Church.
You just must know how to sniff out the bad ones from the good ones.
And that can be tricky sometimes, but most "blacksheeps" goof up anyway...

And thank you for your unbiased comments regarding "Brother Cloud" of that dreadful website.

See, i knew we could agree somewhere.

Thanks for that link Lukas, but personally I think the guy's a kook. I didn't even finish reading that page. Whatever!

And I never claimed to know everything about church history. I went to Catholic School for most of my education, but when I was saved, I left that denomination. THAT IS ABSOLUTELY NO DIG AT THAT DENOMINATION!!!!!!!!!!! It's just my personal story. Even in Catholic School, we never learned about someone names Veronika. She is also conspicuously absent from scriptures, and all Roman historian's writings. I read both Jopsephus books, and she isn't mentioned there either. I was just curious, that's all.

If you get offended by this, or feel the need to call names again, please don't respond to my reply. It's just not worth it anymore.
