Allegence to a flag or Queen? Not idoltry. I do not 'love' my queen, or my flag. MORE IMPORTANTLY: Do I hold them in higher esteeme than my God. NO. SO : if God comes first in my life and I then acknowledge the position of authority that my Queen and her Government have beeen placed in by God - this is Scripturally correct.

Grendel - you have a strange habit of just squirting out stupid statements that hold no water, that have no foundations and do you no credit.

Andrew
Typical british subject lie. You do not have a picture of god in your signature. You have a war symbol. Do you think jesus was about war symbols?

You are not only morally corrupt but your whole society has corrupted the way you think. I can see someone be proud of his heritage or his family but to give allegiance to something you know nothing about is tantamount to jumping off a bridge.

You do not even know how to properly defend your honor so I doubt if you even know how to act as a gentleman. This is how I know you will always be less of a man:

GRENDEL

You obviously hate the British, so it's of little use to try and talk to you any further. My honour is intact - I have no need to defend it.

Goodbye.

Gentleman Andrew

Hopeful2,

I have no problems with the originality of the Bible, or the excistance of God. These question can be made trivial with the right perspective. I'm more interested in how to interpret the message of the Bible, and how others interpret it.

Does the Bible contain any wisdom that would be valuable for us? In that case what? What is it that we can't infer without the Bible?

>> Some Bible critics have suggested that Jesus of Nazareth, as a rabbi..

Why do you call him a rabbi?

>> ..seeing Jesus risen from the grave.

I hope you don't take that literally.

>> If anyone is interested, I will submit a post outlining an easy way to remember what it takes for a person to get into heaven.

I'm very interested, if you please. (Not that I am in hell or anything.)

I hope you don't mind me asking too many questions. Of course I could research for myself, but I'm also interested in what you think!

What does it mean to worship something? What does that lead to?
