Thumbs up

After Lenin came to power it was impossible for the Church to carry on normaly the last patcharch under wsa in prison. He word out to form a Church in exile. He named certain bishop to do this. The year passed to where they settled in a small village in up state New York. This is a rual area. They came to the conclution That God put them them there for a reason,to spread the gospl to America. Most of the people are munks, but ther many who aren't. they decidedto starty in the "bible belt" These people already had a strongmfaith in Chris. here are parishes acroo the south. I'm proud to be part of this. I used to e a Baptis, The rest of our church are from didn't denonations. Once confronted with the true Church theyconvert. we believe that those who don't know the truth are judged by their life and how it waslived

Dear Puppyshoes,

My question has to be: "confronted with the truth about WHAT ?"

The 'true church' ? - no I don't believe so. There is no such thing as 'a perfect church', so if that is an organisation, then that cannot be so.
If it is the truth about ourselves before God - our sin....Christ's act of redemption for all ......our acceptance in faith and the joy of becoming a child of God- then that is equally for all across the world - irrespective of their denomination, because God alone knows our hearts and it is FAITH that he wants to see.....and so where there is faith - there is truth and joy and fellowship. (I John 1).
