see the thing is with that, is that your taking that one out of context, As he means one in purpose, as he did pray to the father in the great intercesory prayer, about the 12 becoming like him and father ONE!! but not one in body but one in purpose and resolution.
though most of the christian world do take this "Trinity" idea way too far as we can see from history the Cathloic Church did make alot of this up in the nicaean creed as this was made by only MEN and not a Prophet of God. if you want to know more about the "truth" feel free to PM me.![]() |

Dear friend Alex,
( B T W : My son and daughter and grandson are in Bristol - nice city )I have a bible.....and 53 years of experience as a Believer....and I know the truth - even about the Trinity. We may disagree with this, but I appreciate your interest and willingness to discuss. I fundamentally disagree with your views, because they detract from the truth and most of all Alex - YOU ARE LOSING SO MUCH ......PERSONALLY when you try and break up the fulness of the Godhead. God the father PROMISED a son - His Son - to the world. AND HE CAME at a time we call Christmas. Jesus the Son PROMISED the Holy Spirit to the world - and he came at Pentecost. To deny one - or even two 'natures' of God degrades God to your own size and definition. And that is not right my friend. You will never 'understand' the Trinity - it is fundamentally a mistery - but it is one of those facts of our faith that we must accept BY FAITH - and allow God to decifer it for us when we meet Him. Regards, Andrew

Actually, the Bible has less corruption from the oldest known texts than does the second oldest known text: Homer. I'm not sure where you came up with such interesting "information". I've yet to see one contradiction in the scripture from someone who has actually studied the book.

CherryB......we haven't personally met before, but I have to say that I stand with Castle-S here. I cannot see how 'God's name' has been remeoved from the Scriptures - and I want YOU to believe that the "Holy Bible" that you can buy off the shelf is STILL God's Word. It may be twisted by some, badly interpreted by others, added to - bit's removed and by some it's totally discredited, but nothing man can do makes it any less GOD'S WORD.
Take a look at any 5 of today's newspapers covering any 1 story. Every one has a different slant on it. It could be argued that the Bible sometimes gives different slats on the same story - the only difference being that ALL the slants - when viewed from God's side are all RIGHT. God's Spirit still inhabits His Word. As Paul says to young Timothy, "it is still good for building up, righteous living, (and other things I forget....as I don't have a Bible handy in my office). So even in PAUL'S day, people were questioning the Bible's validity, but just as Jesus is "The same, yesterday, today and forever", so he said "Even if heaven and earth pass away - not one of my words will pass away". That's the power of the Bible - the validity of the Bible and the words that - when understoood and believed - are the rock upon which I (for one) stand. It tells me of my Saviour's love for me, his death for me, his rising and his soon-2-B coming back for me and this is what matters. Quabbles about perifferal theologies and arguments over the value of certain words are (as Paul says) all a waste of time. I just want to stick by the truth. Pls take a step back CherryB....take a deep breath and start again - 'cause you have been fed some pretty wild and erroneous information. Best wishes, Andrew
