Thanks Castle, yes I'm fine and so is the family. Going to Portugal next week for short holiday, then some hard graft and then to Ukraine last week in July. We've finally got approval for 2 of our top young Ukie friends to come to England for first 2 weeks in July and that will be awesome for them - and us.
Keep on keeping on Soldier - and tell me when you next come thru Britain.
Love,
Andrew

The good news is that I have developed a good people network in Russia so we can get computers into the orphanages without my physical presence being necessary. The bad news is that I don't have plans to swing back through London any time soon. But who knows? I almost went back to Stuttgart to watch some of the World Cup, but the drunken mayhem doesn't appeal to me any more. Maybe I'm just getting too old.

I often think of our meeting, and consider myself fortunate to have met such a great Christian man in person. May God bless and protect you on your travels. And keep shining your light all around the cyberworld.

Exclamation The Trinity is in the Bible

Like so many things the actual word doesn't appear in the Bible. In the book of Genesis 1:26 the first hint of the Holy Trinity appears. "God said,"Let us make mankind in our image and likeness;" In the New Testament it's clearer. St. Matthew 28:19 "Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit." There are many more but that gives you the general idea. No where in the Bible does it say it's to be used as a reference book to prove or disprove ideas. The Orthodox Church has always believed what the previous generation has believed, therefore our beliefs Holy Traditions, both oral and written. Since the Bible wasn't a full canon until the year 325 AD, the beliefs of the Church was already in place three hundred years before the Bible was compiled into one book and it was decided what belonged in the Bible and what didn't. The Church has always believed exactly what it does today from the beginning. When the fullness of time came about, chaos reined in Holy Russia. The Church was scattered into the west in a big way because of communism . I was part of The Campus Crusade for Christ in the early to mid seventies. Almost half went over to Orthodoxy, mostly the Antiochian Church. We we're called the Evangelical Orthodox Church. We are canonical. Jesus spoke of " Yesterday, today, and forever." We have never changed any beliefs, including The Holy Trinity"

WELCOME - and a very interesting reply. Although evangelical free church myself, I have great respect for committed orthodox believers, because (whilst I don't agree all the 'traditions') - I accept I have not had to walk the same path, or face the same problems.....and our God knows all our hearts.
God bless you,
Andrew
