Biblical Proof of the Trinity?

This post is aimed at those that believe in the trinity...

I'd like to hear what Biblical Proof for this doctrine you have... I'm not looking for theories or man-made beliefs and ideas.

I would really like to see scriptural proof...that is scriptures that

a) have the word 'trinity' in them, or
b) prove that God, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one, or
c) support the trinity doctrine...

Actual verses in the Bible that support the trinity...

The Trinity has always rubbed me the wrong way as a Christian. But it is hard to ignore 1st John. I wouldn't doubt that the JW bible's 1st John is not the same 1st John that we know.

By the way, the JWs and the Mormons are products of the Protestants. "Let's change a few things in the bible, no wait! Let's write a whole new book of the bible!"

I think people should be allowed to interpret the bible, but I don't see Christians getting any closer by it.

......quite right C-FORCE i myself have studied with both JEHOVAHS WITNESSES and the MORMONS..my argument with the MORMONS teaching is their books passage which says ,that GOD is supposed to have revealed to JOSEPH SMITH e.ct that GOD was so angry with the americans of their day.because of their sins and lack of faith that GOD would send his son a second time to die for them..BUT PAUL said that JESUS died ONCE for all to DIE NO MORE..as for the JEHOVAHS WITNESSES teaching that GODS name is JEHOVAH when there is no J or V in the hebrew alphabet...and the orgiginal consonants Y and W were removed by later translations to give the name JEHOVAH instead of the name given to the people, which was the name YAHWEH...YES ! you are quite right C-FORCE the things written in the BIBLE bible have been altered and other so called divine ? revelations of GOD have been added, so as to fit in better with the teachings of PASTORS RUTHERFORD and RUSSELL and our friend JOSEPH SMITH and the angel MORONI ? and two new books have come into being drawing many away from the standard king james bible...BRIAN

Hi Danny,
I'm in my office (self employed) and don't have a bible handy to quote chapter and verse, but the following come to mind:
JESUS SAID: "He that has seen me, has seen my father." ...(that's massive.)

"All that the Father has, he has given to the Son".

"I and my father are One."

"I must leave you (to his disciples) but my Father will send another Comforter to you - the Holy Spirit - and He will lead you into all truth".

That last verse clearly includes all three persons / natures of the Trinity - all in one verse. The word 'Trinity' is purely a 'worldy word' to explain 3 people. The fact that Jesus Christ was 100% man and 100% God at the same time.....is simply something that only God can do - and it is left to us not to try and break that down , but to believe it in FAITH that God is being honest with us. With this in mind, God said "I will send my SPIRIT to you - and HE will explain to you all truth"> NOTE: that is "HE" - not 'it' - and this SPIRIT is the third person of the Triune God.

YES: I believe in JEHOVAH - the One God of the O.T. - but in my weakness, God sent to me His SON, who - in seeing him in my spirit, I SEE GOD. HOW? > because Holy Spirit living in me (God's promise by Jesus to ALL Believers) makes these things clear, helps me to get a balance and handle on these matters and allows me to clearly see WHO GOD IS and how He relates to me.....and how He wants me (His child through faith in Jesus) wants me to relate to Him.
