Council of Mufties Approves Polygamy in Russian Federation

Social concept of Russian Muslims, elaborated by the Councils of Mufties of Russia, confirms the muslims’ right for polygamy. The document was presented in Moscow on Friday. The concept provides for polygamy in family relations with obligatory marriage contract that protects the rights of all family members, with special attention to the husband’s responsibility before his family.
