Yaro,
thank you for your efforts, but who cares what Putin has to say? He is a dictator whose hands are covered in blood, a miserable and disgusting person. Why would anyone be interested in his writings?

Question

Yaro---could you please explain why you think Putin is a dictatorship and has blood on his hands. Is it because of the war? What is his back ground reputation. Many do not know much about him. What was he like before he became president?

Hello! Sorry, I was and soon will be too far from internet so I couldn't read this.
Well, 2 perkristianfoss: Do you really believe that news-media tells? Yes, there's much blood there. But do you really know the life and national and social features of Chechens?

Is is necessary to insert the word "idiot" everywhere? It does not make this site more attractive to those who visit it.

Whatever Mr. Putin did he was elected as a Russian President, therefore, he can not be called "dictator". I personally believe that Russia deserves a better President, but I have to respect this choice that my people has been made. And I DO care about all his writings, speeches, intreviews, etc.

Sincerely,

Daria.

Question

As international (in Oz anyway) coverage goes, I think Putin came out OK.

I thought it was a bit strange that he was a bit of an unknown, but for a country that needs reform, I think that can be a good thing.

As for the Chechan thing, what do the opinion polls say? Do the majority of Russians support the war? Since Putin went on with it, and was elected partly as a result of doing so, I think he is probably carrying out the wishes of the majority?

Good call on the 'idiot' thing Daria. It's not even that the word is defamatory, but it's so uncreative!

Cheers.

Steve
