We find ourselves at a fork in the road. As a people, we will soon face a great decision. Do we dispel our enemies, and thus, ourselves, or do we make peace and embrace our brotherhood to leave this folly of war behind us. At present, the leaders of our great nations are making a series of grievous mistakes. These poor judgments gather, one atop the last. We are now balanced precariously upon this tower of mistakes ready to tumble down with that "last straw". As the individual, we have little power to shake the powers that be, but as a community we can make the world tremble. I am not proposing a regime change or a new communist society. I merely pose a question. Do we cast out our ancient battles and unite against our common enemy or do we take arms and slaughter our brethren, thus greatly compromising ourselves?
