Is it possible for Russia to find a stable and safe platform for its relations with the United States?

NEVER in the situation, when the US is the only Super Power. Only some kind of balance can help our two countries.

And of course US must give to us back Alaska & Aleuts Islands to normalise the relationship between the two nations.

Exactly the intended 'point'of the question, Andrey. Is there such a thing as a satisfactory balance with the world power being unipolar? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>> As for Alaska and the Aleuts: Russia would find it difficult to administer the many 'liberal welfare programs' that is the common currency of the areas. Peace

Hi Nonson!

I think that there would be no satisfactary balance in one Super Power until there wouldn't be another one.
About Alaska: it was a joke, but by international treaties Russia can consider this territory as a Russian rigion. Do you agree?

Hi Andrey, I was really seeking Russians' viewpoints on the 'unipolarization of power' and the all-out push of that government(USA/gross capitalism)toward a 'globalisation' that spells certain death for many States, and possibly Russia. I have before me a number of military intelligence models that predict that Russia and other adjoining States could break up into 'strongman enclaves', and present a possible security threat to the whole area. >>>>>>>>>> Re: Alaska. Yup. Definitely a 'construct'from the language used in the 'international treaty', but getting the 'powers-that-be to think in those lofty environs poses a significant task. Their brains seldom rise above the acid reflux level of their bellies. Peace

Hi Nonson!

About Alaska:
I meant that Alaska was sold by Russia to US for 99 years for the price of 11.2 mln. of RUSSIAN gold rubles. It was in 1867, so in 1966 US were needed to give Alaska back to Russia.

Sorry, but from what country are you?

You, of course, refer to Seward's Folly. (Wm H. Seward 1801-1872 Am. statesman; Sec. State 1861-69). I was referring to more modern issues of international treaty issues and what they imply.<p>Still hanging out in Good Ol' USA.
