Zhirinovsky is a drunk idiot. Drunk idiots vote for Zhirinovsky. There are many drunk idiots in Russia.

Eidstein? You mean he's Jewish? I always remembered him as an anti-semite (among other things). Oh well...

In a way hes expressing the thought of an average Russian.
He has very little support, THANK GOD!

I bought a small paperback of Zhirinovsky quotes and speeches (translated into English of course) years ago - It was a fun read, the book wasn't meant to be flattering though.

I just remembered this is Russia.com...

SO, I have a question for you Russian folks. What do you think of President Putin (both your political and personal views of the man)?

His father is a Polish Jew (Eidstein), Zhirinovsky is his mothers last name, which he adopted later in life. He is well educated, and personally I don't care if hes Jewish, Chechen or Tatar, being Russian is a state of mind, ethnicity is hardly important in my oppinion. Hes a patriot, and while most people won't vote for him, they are glad hes there, hes their dark conciounce. Like they say, If there wasn't a Zhirinovsky, someone would invent him.
