Ever heared of the European Union? Guess that we will be able to fix it ourselves with the EU behind us. And I think going in HELPING aitn wrong but helping with guns are way wrong. The UN work for peace but NATO with the US in control wants to show the non NATO countrys, mostly Russia. |

OCA + JK,
America does get involved in situations the wrong way. Young men are pulled from their family lives and sent off to foreign lands to serve a policy under the guise of "freedom." I wonder how many men in other countries would take the chance of dying in a far away land to serve their countries cause? I remember Vietnam very well, many young americans died there for no real reason. When we came home, we were scroned. to this day, being a vietnam vet carries a burden. What is the next step in repairing differences between too cultures. If left to the governments, nothing will happen. It's not in there interest to do anything. What you should realize is the people of the United States are down to earth and not looking for a fight! I look forward to your reply. ------------------ Rick Spencer |

Hello Rick:
I fully agree with you. American youth were sent to fight in foreign lands and that is a given. I guess that users at this site, specially the young ones do not understand the role America played since WWI. I can understand their bitternes, jealousy and frustration of the "have" and "have not" syndrome. I have been somewhat sarcastic in my postings, for a lot of the readers do not comprehend that the comunism is dead, finished, and they can't continue to bully other peoples or cultures. Your comments were very much appreciated. |

Bavlin:
Thank you for reminding me of the E.U. and how they can protect your interests. By the way, did the E.U. helped the Germans during the Berlin blockade, or did the E.U. helped out during the many problems in Europe since its inception? Is the E.U. helping europeans resolve the fuel prices in your part of the world? The Western democracies for better or for worst have helped the world get better, even if you don't think so. Without somebody waving a stick over your head, think of the many world crisis that could have caused WWIII. I think Mr. Rick Spencer's comments about America sending their young people to support America's resolve is very apt. Don't you think so? JK:
A few years back, when I first visited Sarajevo, I fell in love with that place and I thought to myself "This is the place I want to retire in" Can't do it now, that place is in shambles. There are many other places that were destroyed not by American or NATO forces, but rather by the other powers of the day. So what I am trying to say is that it must be very difficult to be a Superpower. |

reply to Spencer and Oca:
You have to understand that word justice has different meaning in different countries. So,when you send people to fight in foreign country, you think that is right. But,people in other countries think different. As you mentioned Vietnam, vietnam people were fighting on their own land an they thought they are fighting for freedom.I m sure that all american people done the same if someone attack their country.Freedom is defending on own land, not on foreign land. I m living in one of the country of former Yugoslavia, and my country was in war with Serbia 4 years ago.We fought for freedom(they were occupate one part of our territory). I feel sorry for innocent people died in war,but that was happened and cant be changed.Even if we was in war with Serbia, i still dont think that Americans attack on that country was right.Kosovo is internal case of Serbia, like Cecenia in Russia. How would you feel if someone attacks your country?Helping other people consider sending food, medicine, and eventually UNPROFOR as peacekeeping UN-forces which does not include war plains, ships, and heavy weapon. Throwing bombs will not help anybody, except it will stop war for some time and hate between people will only became bigger. |

I must to my own sadness say that we two seems to loose each other someway. We both missunderstands each others. Thats to bad I think. But with the problems we have in EU my first and only answer to that is SOCIALISTS. Since almost every EU country is run by a socilaist goverment that thinks that it should be best if everybody neverleft their house. So we can save the enviroment. About the US vs EU US had its problems during it first years so does EU. And to the US people emigrated for freedom to do what ever they wanted. Here in Europe we sit on Millenias of history wich is covered with diffrent wars mostly. A hard thing to build over. About the US role since WWI I only can say, no I dont know everything there is to know about that, or anything else for that matter. Im young yes but I try to learn thats what I want. I do agree with that post from RickSpencer. He got it all right there. Thats what I meant with the statement about US controlled NATO. The difficult of getting two countrys to work in symbiosis with each other is easier then to change two peoples minds. We need to have faith in govermnets. If we have no goverments then what will be? ANARCHY? If communism cant work will that work then? NO it wont. |
