Hello Oca once again
>> american women had made a quantum leap in the american labor force, they are holding jobs and positions that a few years back would have been denied to them because of gender. Comments? << Which of the two positions would you say was to be preferred? The previous position in which American women (who, I believe, have votes too?) were treated in a manifestly unfair way, or the present system in which a "quantum leap" has been made? Few would deny the previous situation was bad. Many say there are faults with the present one. But is it not, surely, better than what you had before, and therefore to be welcomed as an improvement, despite its shortcomings? Dr W. |

Where ever you go in the world your earned taxed moeny will be used to pay taxed wares and the new taxes on the wares. This is onething that exists all over the world. And this money is used in many ways, someways is paying govermental institiusions. How would you like to give the power to the people more then they already got. You americans shouldnt complain. You vote for the worlds mightiest man. IN A POPULAR CONTEST! The guy kissing his wife best in public wins! [NOTE: This was a overreacted sarcastic comment]. You got power to choose. |

Thanks for your input on this matter.I completly agree with you that we have made great progress in recognizing the abilities in women and minorities. But in this day and age I believe most businesses realize the pontental of these people and would promote accordingly. Those that prefer not to can still find ways around this when needed.I just do not think we need the government telling us who we have to hire. What about California? Bavlin Also thank you for you input I sometimes forget how good we have it as taxes go but I feel theres always room for improvement. I am also sorry to say I am uninformed on your government,I will have to find out. P.S. I also feel our elections are one big popularity contest,I do not think it is as likely that we will elect an ugly President. |

"deduct"
A term used in error, not for the lack of education, rather for the lack of proper proof reading my masterpiece. As for origins: San Francisco is my birthplace. My, how time flies, 10 days went by very fast. |

We are too a demoracy but yet we dont have these best looking guy wins elections. It could be because the goverment has more power here then over there. We only got a primeminister not a president. We still have monarchy with a royal familiy. Mostly it is votes on the partie (is it spelled this way?) not on a single person. We have jsut started with personal elections so we might be heading were you already are. I hope were not. Like it more when we are on more political level here. |
